Not a lot to tell just some guy who is basically tech enamored. In my ifetime it is absolutely amazing how connected we have become and all because of the Internet. The idea that anyone in the world can speak to anyone else is overwhelming to say the least maybe someday people will get wrapped around the idea that they are the free flow of information instead of the paid media and governments claiming that prize. I am pretty sure I’ll be long gone before anything like that happens but it is sort of my utopian dream if there really is anything that can even remotely resemble utopia on our planet or among our species. Well enough of that line of thinking. I like the picture of me with in the upper corner as it shows me in a fashion that no one can really get a clear look. Some who know me might say yeah that’s him but I don’t think anyone could pick me out of a crowd based on that picture. the photograph does give up that I like sunsets/sunrises and coastal communities in the deep south. That was a year ago it is about time to go back. This page is just something I do because I learned how when I first started using computers nothing professional here basically just opinions and someplace for me to go when I need some low impact diversions to still my mind. I promise whether it is good or bad I will not subject anyone to adwords, smart tags, or advertisements CompHobby is and will always be free.
Other things I guess I should disclose about my site is that this particular page is also a permanent redirect page for the site. In as much as I do this whole website thing as hobby and often on stressed hardware things might go wrong from time to time. Couple that with I have almost always had some version of the page running since about 2001. There is a lot of stuff that has gotten displaced. It has always been more of a I want to do it because I can than a it defines me sort of experience. I bought my first PC around 1996 and from that moment I sort of became obsessed with the communications aspect of the internet. I mean the idea that someone could take a device they already had anyway and put their thoughts out there for the world amazed me. Since that time I have dabbled with Windows, Linux, and Mac style machines, ran at least 3-4 different sever softwares most notably IIS and Apache. The latter Apache became my tool of choice because of the whole license/cost thing that goes with Microsoft’s premium products. So over the years I have mentioned a lot of stuff and searches for pages that no longer exist are fairly common to this site. Am I an expert definitely and I can not stress this enough no I am not. My real job is a shift supervisor in a petrochemical complex I do this for er I guess its therapeutic value. So feel free to look around. Who knows might even find something useful or entertaining and it’s all free!
